A basement rebuilt and finished after water damage restoration

Water Damage Restoration

Moisture assessment, extraction and drying, then restoration of everything the water reached. Flooring and pad first, drywall and framing where the damage goes that far.

If it is happening right now

Call us, do not fill in the form

We run a 24 hour emergency line for active water damage. Water does not wait for business hours, and the difference between a call at midnight and a call at nine the next morning is usually the difference between drying a room and rebuilding it.

“I had a leak at midnight and they came and didn’t leave until 3am after identifying the issue and ensuring it stopped before they left.” Miguel R., Thumbtack review

One real basement, start to finish

What a restoration actually involves

This is a real basement in our own service area that came to us after water damage. It is not a quick flooring swap. Once moisture is in the walls, the drywall has to come out before anything new goes back in.

Step one

Find out how far it traveled

Water rarely stays where it lands. Damaged drywall comes out down to where the wall is genuinely dry rather than where it looks dry, and a dehumidifier runs while the space dries properly.

Step two

Rebuild from the framing out

Once the space is dry, framing is checked and new drywall, taping and finishing go back in. Recessed lighting and any electrical work happens at this stage.

Step three

Flooring, finish, done

New flooring, trim and finish work close it out. This basement came back as a finished media room, with new flooring, a refaced fireplace and a media wall where taped drywall and a dehumidifier stood a few weeks earlier.

The same crew carries that work through, so the rebuild is not handed to a second contractor halfway. See our remodeling work.

Other jobs, mid-restoration

Three different properties, each caught partway through. This is what the stage before the rebuild actually looks like.

A wall opened up during a water damage job, with wet drywall cut away to expose the studs and pink insulation behind it, and the removed boards stacked on the floor
A bathroom floor being stripped back during a water damage job, with tile broken out to the subfloor and the wall opened to reach the plumbing
A basement mid-drying with the water-stained ceiling opened to the joists, contents sheeted in plastic, and air movers running on the floor

Opening a wall or lifting a floor is not damage for its own sake. It is how we reach what the water reached, and how the space gets dry enough that the rebuild lasts.
