Floor care and restoration in Howard County

A county that has learned about water the hard way

Ellicott City sits where the Patapsco, Tiber and Hudson branches meet. It took catastrophic flash flooding twice in recent memory, in July 2016 and again in May 2018, with each storm sending several feet of water down a historic Main Street. Those two events shaped how this county thinks about basements, lower levels and anything stored below grade, and they are a large part of why restoration became such a significant share of our work.

Columbia accounts for much of the county’s housing, and it is organized into ten villages. Each village runs its own architectural committee and covenants layered on top of Howard County rules. Those covenants govern exterior changes rather than interior work, so a floor refinish, a carpet installation or a restoration job inside the house is not something you need village approval for. It is still worth telling us your village when you book, because parking and access rules vary.

Outside Columbia and Ellicott City we work regularly in Elkridge, Clarksville, Fulton, Savage and Jessup. Being this close keeps scheduling simple, and for an active leak it keeps our response time genuinely short rather than nominally short.
