Floor care and restoration in Prince George’s County
A lot of our work here is turnover work for landlords and property managers, which runs to a deadline rather than to a preference.
Two things that catch owners out here
The first is rental licensing. Prince George’s County licenses rental housing through its Department of Permitting, Inspections and Enforcement, but a number of municipalities run their own licensing instead, among them Bowie, College Park, Greenbelt and Hyattsville. Which set of rules applies depends on whether the property sits inside one of those town limits, and owners who assume the county handles everything can be caught out at inspection. We are not your licensing advisor, but we do schedule turnover work around those inspection dates when you tell us them.
The second is the basement permit clock. A basement finish here needs an application and basement floor plans submitted to the county, and once a permit is issued it expires if work has not started within 180 days. On a restoration job that has been waiting on an insurance decision, that window can quietly run down. If a rebuild is coming after a claim, it is worth sequencing the permit against the claim rather than pulling it early.
We cover Bowie, Laurel, College Park, Hyattsville, Greenbelt, Upper Marlboro and Largo. County details were checked in October 2026 and should be confirmed with the county or your municipality before you rely on them.
